- 1 Cup Garnacha Red Wine
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Marshmallows for topping
Combine all of the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Add the condensed milk, wine, and whole milk to the dry ingredients. In a large pot, heat over the stove on medium high (constantly stirring) until you start to see the steam coming off. Be sure not to let it boil. Pour in your favorite mug! As an option you can top with marshmallows, cinnamon, and shaved chocolate. Snuggle up by a fire and enjoy!
Now you have this yummy recipe, let’s talk a minute about Wines of Garnacha. I always like to have a little bit of history of wines. Learning is fun, plus it makes you sound like a serious connoisseur when you can mention that these wines were originally from the eastern part of Spain and are now taking on the role of a varietal wine (that means it’s made primarily from a single name grape). Watch out Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, wines of Garnacha are making their mark. source
