For decades Natalie has been playing the piano in the streets of Melbourne … Iconic Melbourne piano street performer Natalie Trayling has for years lifted the city’s spirits with her playing, and finally she’s getting some recognition for it.

Natalie turned 80 years old last October and is showing no signs of stopping playing. If anything she is getting a long overdue following after all these years.

Thanks to her son Mathew, her playing has now become an online sensation with a video he uploaded of her playing one of her own compositions on a Melbourne street getting over 3 million views.

‘It’s her and the piano becoming one. It’s obvious when she plays,’ Mathew said. ‘It is a remarkable story. The music is the story.’
